What did you plan to achieve before the next class meeting?
My plan is to create the first level by drawing out a map sketch of “Level 1” in a tear sheet format, explaining on how the players should feel on each main section of the level. I also plan to get the first level that I create in Unity to be play tested so that my group can have a level to test out and give me feedback on what needs improvement.

Anthony - Core Gameplay - Competitive Race Mode; Controls; Basic Game Elements (Track, Camera, Obstacles).
Jenny - Campaign - Level Design 1.1 - Show player start, finish, obstacles, enemies; describe look and feel; any special assets needed to support gameplay.
Andrew - Audio Stuff - brainstorm 50 sound effects; duration, tone; audio vision for music - find 10 inspiration pieces; describe how music is used mechanically in the game.
Jerry - Interface Design and Game Flow; flowchart and interface mockups, Start Menu, Level Select, Game Mode Select, Credits, Extras, How To Play, Character Select, Game View, Escape/Pause Menu, Splash Screen.
Eric - AI Design - Ball, Cube, Projectile Thrower, design 3 more enemies.

What Went Well: My group did get to playtest a quick prototype of “Level 1”, I also got a good amount of feedback from my group on what can be improved, Karen also gave me a few pointers/ advice on the loops and tunnels of the level. Making curved level objects was in fact a great challenge (that Karen warned us about) and we now know that we need to be sure to make our levels a bit more achievable to make or at least be aware of the scope of the game.
What Went Poorly: There were quite a few items in the level that needed to be fix because it was either not working well with the player’s experience or it just wasn’t working for the level at all. I did notice that “Level 1” had a lot of problems from ramps not functioning, to gaps between the platforms, even down to the level being too short or plain. The feedback can now help move forward and have some notes as a guide to help me create a much more improved level.
