Hey there!
I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything for my blog section, but I have a perfectly good reason, trust me you’re going want to read this.
So, let’s begin with “Super Marble Rollout” and how it has progressed over the past months. Ever since our first couple of prototypes, I’ve managed to upgrade the levels and give it a whole new modern-day retro/ arcade look. Players at Game Fair were very pleased at our progress with our new look and the additional two game modes that we added to the game called “Super Sumo Rollout” and “Marble Maze”.

Super Sumo Rollout is a battle arena mode where two players ram each other out of the sumo arena, all while giant chunks of the arena (ring) are coming apart every ten seconds, the game ends when a player wins the best out of three rounds.
Marble Maze is a co-op puzzle game where two players work together to open doors and escape a giant maze before the timer runs out.
We’ve received multiple positive comments from our players that they would really love to see S.M.R. as mobile game. Currently, it’s a bit tough to figure out a way to create a mobile game with a game that was meant to have two local players share/play on one screen. We also don’t have a single player mode, but we feel that it would be the right direction to move this as a single-player mobile game for the time being (if we were to go forward with making this into a mobile game). We are also so pleased to hear that S.M.R. has brought people together and has been fun enough to put a smile on their faces.

Moving onto the next projects, I’ve also managed to create two new board games called “Snow Dogs” and “Ramen Ninjas”. I’m very proud of these two board games, it has taught how to prototype on an analog level and has been great hit with other players and even to my professor who took some time out of his day to write entire blog about my board game “Snow Dogs”, “A Cool Student-Design Race Game: Snow Dogs” (https://davidmullich.com/2017/07/17/a-cool-student-design-race-game-snow-dog/).

In most recent events, I’ve also been a part of two new digital games called “4 Lil Ninjaz” and “Tanks of Fury”. I was the lead level designer for “4 Lil Ninjaz”, a game where four players work together to gather ramen ingredients and make it to the top each sci-fi level before the lava can touch them. I was the project manager and lead level designer for “Tanks of Fury”, a game where four players battle each other in various battle arenas to become the ultimate tank champion.

In my final great news, today is my last official day of school and my next stop is graduation in January 2018. I will be receiving my Bachelors of Science in “Game Production and Design”. After nearly four years, I feel very proud of all the work that put in and I’m very excited to take the next step in my career of working of finally working in the game industry as a female developer.
Class of 2018!
